About the Ingredients

Red Clover flower tops, are a wonderful herb for supporting women hormonally, starting at puberty through to menopause and beyond. Red clover tops are reported to contains every single trace element needed by the glandular system.  As such, this alkalizing herb is believed to be the single most effective plant used for balancing female hormones.

Chaste Berries/Vitex, is native to the Mediterranean region. It has a long history of use for promoting normal hormone function, supporting the balance of progesterone and estrogen and discouraging PMS and other negative symptoms associated with the female monthly cycle. In more mature women Chaste Berry is an ally during the peri and menopausal years.

Shatavari, an adaptogen herb traditionally used in Ayurveda to support every aspect of healthy hormone balance. I’ve used Shatavari in all of my tea blends, which is safe to use through pubery, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause.

Ashwaganda, encourages both a calming and energising response in our bodies, helping us to adapt to the stresses of everyday living. It is helpful in assisting deep sleep and calming nervous tension as well as supporting the replenishment of the blood, enhancing nutrient and bone health.

Ginger, encourages stronger digestion, an essential element for good health.

Calendula, this amazing little flower is packed with magic. It is renown for its ability to support women with these health issues: delayed menstruation, ease of menstrual cramps, regulate menstruation, deter thrush and urinary tract infections.

Sweet Orange Peel, tastes divine.

Spearmint, smooths out the taste of the medicinal herbs and supports digestion.

Rose, is beautiful, smells divine and has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac, encouraging the balance of female emotions.

How to Brew Your tea?

Hormonal Bliss tea requires a longer brewing time than most herbal teas due to the adaptogen herbs.

Use 1 to 2 generous teaspoons of herbs per cup and allow it to brew for at least 10 to 15 minutes. If you choose to brew the tea for a shorter brewing time you can brew the herbs a second time. Many of the herbs in my teas are Australian grown providing a far superior herbal tea which is why the tea is still delicious on the second brew.

The longer brewing time allows the herbs to release their full flavour and beneficial value. For the most therapeutic benefit brew your tea over night which allows 8 hours for the herbs to release all their goodness.

Another fun way to brew tea is “sun brewing”. A gentle process protecting the vitamin and mineral content of the herbs. Place ¼ cup of herbs in a litre jar, cover the herbs with water and give them a good shake. Cover the jar with a dark cloth and leave the brew in the sun for the day.

Drink daily 1-4 cups or as desired.
